Yes, TS4 is compatible with most inverters or charge controllers that have their own MPPT functionality. The list of inverters/charge controllers that Tigo is currently compliance tested with is available here.
Hybrid and Off-Grid Rapid Shutdown Systems with Tigo’s Fire Safety (TS4-F)
Below is an example of a Schneider Electric system with integrated RSS Transmitter.
In the system shown, Schneider's MPPT Disconnect RS has the Tigo RSS transmitter built-in. Turning its switch to the "OFF" position causes rapid shutdown to happen. Schneider's MPPT 80 600 is an RSS compatible charge controller.
For more information on Tigo's TS4-F and the associated RSS (Rapid Shutdown System) products, see our article, "Design Essentials for TS4-F/-A-F".
Tigo’s Fire Safety solution – including the integrated TS4-F, add-on TS4-A-F, and add-on for 2 modules TS4-A-2F - can be used for PV rapid shutdown with charge controllers that are tested and validated with a compatible rapid shutdown transmitter. Charge controllers that are compatible with Tigo’s Fire Safety solution include:
- Schneider Electric MPPT 60 150 charge controller with the MPPT Disconnect RS
- Schneider Electric MPPT 80 600 charge controller with MPPT Disconnect RS
- Delta E8-TL-US with a built-in RSS Transmitter
- Delta E6-TL-US with a built-in RSS Transmitter
- Solax A1-Hybrid-6.0 with a built-in RSS Transmitter
- Solax A1-Hybrid-7.0 with a built-in RSS Transmitter
- Solax A1-Hybrid-7.6 with a built-in RSS Transmitter
- Solax A1-Hybrid-8.6 with a built-in RSS Transmitter
- Outback FM100 (no built-in RSS Transmitter)
Hybrid and Off-Grid Rapid Shutdown Systems with TS4-S (Safety), TS4-O (Optimization)
Tigo’s Safety and Optimization solutions – including the integrated TS4-S & TS4-O, add-on TS4-A-S & TS4-A-O, and add-on for 2 modules TS4-A-S-Duo & TS4-A-O-Duo - can be used for PV rapid shutdown with charge controllers that are tested and validated with a compatible rapid shutdown system (RSS). These TS4 products need to be installed with Tigo communication accessories (TAP, CCA). Charge controllers that are compatible with Tigo include:
TS4-O (Optimization)
- Delta E8-TL-US
- Delta E6-TL-US
- Solax A1-Hybrid-6.0
- Solax A1-Hybrid-7.0
- Solax A1-Hybrid-7.6
- Solax A1-Hybrid-8.6
- Pika X11400 + PV Link
- Pika X7600 + PV Link
- Midnight Solar Classic Legacy P&O
- Midnight Solar Classic Regular (Solar)
TS4- S (Safety)
- Pika X11400 + PV Link
- Pika X7600 + PV Link4

Rapid Shutdown Notes: For an off-grid installation to support rapid shutdown, power your CCA/CC (Cloud Connect Advanced/Cloud Connect) via its own power supply with a switch. Then to shutdown the system's modules:
- Switch off/disconnect the CCA from its power supply
- Turn off the charge controller.
The above two steps will send the system into shutdown mode.
Note: if you require Rapid Shutdown in an off-grid system, you should have Tigo's Mesh software on your system. You can verify this by sending a request to "support@tigoenergy.com" with your system ID.
To reactivate the system after rapid shutdown:
- Switch on/reconnect the CCA to its power supply
- Turn on the charge controller
The above two steps will bring the system's modules back online.
