The System View page provides an animation of the sun, that shows the direction over the course of the day. This animation is represented on these Toolbox Views:
- Power
- Reclaimed
- Voltage
- Current
Systems are built by installers who are focused on how the systems looks, while facing south. For this reason, the Sun's animation is usually set from Left to Right.
To envision this correctly, imagine you are the installer standing on the rooftop looking south. The sun would rise on your left (east), and set on your right (west).
While the System Owner tend to orient themselves northward (as they view the system from the ground). This would put the eastern sunrise on your right and western sunset on your left.
If you would like to correct or change the Sun's Direction, simply use the Tool Pallet (right), on your System View:
- Click the Cog Icon
on the Tool Pallet (upper right)
- Select the Sun Direction
- Click the Chevron Button
to return to the Tool Pallet
