Tigo offers 2 different types of accounts (System Owner and Installer). The tools are different on each one, and the method of adding a user to a system, changes per the account type.
System Owner Directions
Only Installers can add a new System Owner, or give an existing System Owner access to another system.
However, if you are a System Owner, you can make your system viewable to the public and then, share the system link (URL) with family members.
To do this:
- Sign into your account on the Tigo Portal (online)
- Click Settings
- Select General
- Click Public Access
- Select Enable Public View
- You may receive a warning, regarding security. Click OK
This Security Warning is important to know, because the URL you are using can now be seen by anyone that has access to the link. Once you have made the System shareable, you will have options to copy the link or personalize your URL. You will also have controls which decides what pages/information your friends or family will have access to.
- Click Expand button
- Select the Advanced Public Setting you want to be available
In all cases, the link will lead them to a 'view only' page. They will not have access any tools, to make changes to the system or your account.
Installer Directions
Installers have additional Admin Tools for adding users to a system. If you have an Installer-level account, you can enable others (System Owners, Co-Workers, etc.) to view the Tigo system with their own individual Tigo User account(s), and have full access to the tools associated with their account.
If you are an Installer click here for directions.
