Symptoms:
The following message is reported: Error Code IE 002 – Grid Lost Fault
The inverter POWER Blue LED OFF.
Cause:
The inverter is no longer sensing grid voltage on the GRID L1/N terminals.
The grid power could be out.
The AC wiring from the main panel to the inverter is not connected.
Resolution:
Perform the following steps:
Step 1. Measure grid voltage using a multimeter.
WARNING: These checks must be made on live equipment and therefore present an electrical safety hazard.
The installer must follow the electrical and safety standard of the country.
Start at the inverter GRID terminals, and work your way towards the main breaker on the service entrance, if necessary.
Test Point (TP) |
Single Phase |
Three Phase |
Step 1 1. Measure between GRID L and N Single Phase. 2. Measure between GRID L1, L2, L3, N Three Phase. |
Is the voltage between 220V-240V?
YES - Jump to Step 4. NO - Continue to the next test point. |
Is the voltage between 415/240V; 400/230V; 380/220V YES - Jump to Step 4. NO - Continue to the next test point. |
Step 2 1. Check AC breaker is in ON position. If not, then do so and check Step 1. If AC breaker is in the ON position, then turn it off so that the installer can open the breaker. Take a measurement on the grid side of the breaker. |
||
Step 3 1. Check to see if the main breaker is on. If not, turn on and check Step 1. If breaker was ON that means the utility is out. House should have no power. |
If there is voltage at any point, but not at the inverter, then continue to Step 2.
If voltage is present at the inverter after these checks, then proceed to Step 4.
Step 2. Check all AC wiring starting at the inverter and then moving towards the main breaker box.
Are all L, N, (Single Phase) and GROUND conductors connected correctly?
Are all L1, L2, L3, N, (Three Phase) and GROUND conductors connected correctly?
- YES - Continue to Step 3.
- NO - Correct wiring. Repeat Step 1 for each line.
Step 3.
Turn off the inverter in the following order:
1. Keep the ENTER button pressed until the display shows this message |
|
2. Push one time the arrow button up or down to select “NO”. |
|
3. Wait until “CLACK” sound of the contactor inside the EI Link, and then check if the display of the inverter is going in System OFF. |
|
4. Turn OFF the DC switch |
|
5. Turn OFF the external AC switch. |
Step 4. Turn ON the system in the following reverse order (refer to the image in Step 1):
- Turn on the DC switch.
- Turn on the AC switch.
- Keep the ENTER button pressed until the display shows this message.
- Push one time the arrow button up or down for selecting "YES".
- Wait until “CLACK” sound of the contactor inside the EI Link, and then check if the display of the inverter is going in ON.
Step 5. If the fault still exists, escalate to Level 2.
