When a unit is replaced, its ID needs to be updated online. In order to do this, go to Admin -> Site Details and on the bottom left of that page there is an Edit Configuration button. Once you click this, a new window will open where you can edit information.
You want to then click on Layout and then on Register. If you are replacing many units, we suggest downloading the CSV before replacing the IDs in case of mistakes. Click on the unit that you need to replace and update the ID, then click "Save".
Finally, click on "Confirmation" and then "Finish", this is important as an updated configuration file will be sent to the Cloud Connect. If this is not done, the serial number will not be updated.
Once this is done, if everything is correct, the new unit should show up within an hour if there is daylight on the solar panels.
Changing the Serial Number in the TigoSMART App
From the Home Page, go to "Configure Layout"
Tap on "Register" then tap on the module with the unit being replaced and then scan the bar code or enter the serial number manually.
If you tap "Scan", you can use the camera in your mobile device to scan the bar code.
Or, you can enter the code manually:
Tap 'Save'. Go back to the home page of the app and you are finished.
