Reclaimed Power or Reclaimed Energy is the measurement of any extra power or energy production that was harvested from a panel, string, or system due to Tigo's optimization. It basically shows you how effective the Optimization platform is.
How is Reclaimed Power Calculated?
Whenever a Tigo MLPE optimizes for shading, its data shows the values of how long it was engaged and how much optimization was used to maintain a healthy string current. That amount can be subtracted from the MLPE's total production, to show how much extra power was produced because of Tigo's optimization.
The result is then arranged into 2 different views:
- Reclaimed Power - Minute-by-minute production represented in watts (W)
- Reclaimed Energy - Total production over a period of time in watt hours (Wh)
These are both presented visually within the Tigo Energy Intelligence monitoring portal (or App):

The image (below) shows the amount of Reclaimed Power that each optimizer was producing (in watts), at exactly 1:30 p.m.
Note: Optimizers that are in direct sunlight do not require optimization. Therefore, you may see zero reclaimed power from some units during mid-day. This is normal, and it indicates a great day for solar production!
Basic Charts
The Basic Charts page the Reclaimed Energy in watt hours (Wh) or kilowatt hours (kWh). This data can also be viewed by Month, Day, Hour, or in 15-Minute Intervals (down to one minute for Premium).
The colors represented on the bar graph are divided into Reclaimed Energy vs what the system would have earned (without optimization) for that time period. This is known as the Solar Base:
Is this a free service, or do I pay for it?
Tigo Energy captures all data in 15-minute intervals and supplies many options for viewing this information on the Basic Charts page. This service is free for all users.
For super-users, Premium Upgrade allows an Advanced Charts option, where the data can be downloaded in spreadsheets that can represent up to 1-minute intervals and can be subdivided for energy, power, and Reclaimed Power. This is very handy for customers and installers who want to quantify their purchase's ROI (return on investment).
