The Cloud Connect (CC) is a Tigo Legacy product, that was offered as an integral part of the original Tigo Energy Maximizer system. It is a highly developed system management tool that logs data and performs commands through network-connected (cloud-based) interactions.
If your system has one of these legacy devices, most of the functions can be performed via the the buttons provided on the face of the device: Full Cloud Connect Menu
The CC can also be connected (via WiFi), to the modern Tigo EI App. Once connected, most of the functions (like: setup, maintenance, Network Connection and Testing), are available virtually.
Note: If you do not have the Tigo EI App you must install it from the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). For full installation instructions, see Install Tigo Energy Intelligence (EI) App.
Connecting
Because you will need to be near the CC (in order to connect), a site visit is required. Once you have located the CC onsite you must connect the Tigo EI App (on your phone / tablet) to the CC via its broadcasted virtual temporary address. This can be accomplished through your device's WiFi broadcaster (no Bluetooth offered on this model).
Important:The CC only broadcasts its virtual temporary address for a duration of 2 hours, so you may need to restart the CC (unplug, or flip its circuit breaker). Allow up to 2 minutes for reboot and once it powers back on, it will be transmitting its virtual temporary addresses, again.
To connect your phone/tablet to your CC, perform these steps:
Restart the CC (initiate's the temporary virtual address broadcast), and activate your chosen method (Bluetooth or WiFi), within your phone/tablet settings. Bluetooth is most common. Then, sign into the Tigo EI App and select the system you are working on.
- Press the Settings icon (lower right)
- Press Configure Communication
- Select WiFi (No Bluetooth offered on CC), top left
Enable Local Permissions (if you see the warning)
Select the CC address that you want to connect to.
If you do not see a serial number, Pull down to refresh.
- When connected, the CC address will show in a purple banner (at the top). At this point, you may choose any of the options (on the screen), that you wish to proceed in.
From here, you can perform these maintenance functions:
