How to Install and Commission the GO Cellular Kit (US version) – Tigo Help Center

The GO Cellular Kit adapter allows the Tigo EI Inverters to connect to cellular networks. The kit includes a 5-year prepaid plan.

The Tigo EI System's communication priority is always WiFi, but if that is unavailable, the system will automatically switch to the cellular function.

Installation

Turn off all power sources to the Tigo inverter and wait until no LEDs are lit before installing the GO Cellular Kit.

Remove Existing Cellular Card

Turn off all sources of power to the inverter:
• The inverter DC disconnect
• The battery breaker/DC disconnect
• The ATS Service disconnect or inverter breakers within the ATS
Wait until all LEDs are off.
Remove the inverter wiring box cover.
Disconnect the three-pin connector on both ends. Discard.
Remove the existing cellular antenna from the inverter chassis. Discard.
Remove the cellular antenna board by carefully but forcibly pulling the board off the four support points.

Install and Connect the Adapter and Antenna

Snap the new Go Cellular adapter bracket onto the four white support pins.
Attach the GO Cellular adapter as shown.
Plug the supplied adapter cable into the CCA USB port.
Replace the cellular antenna assembly and plug it into the adapter Antenna port.

Commissioning

Open the Tigo Energy Intelligence (EI) App found in the App Store or Google Play.

ATTENTION: You must have a strong WiFi connection on the site to begin commissioning the GO Cellular Kit.

This document covers adding a GO Cellular Kit to an existing fully commissioned Tigo EI residential System. If installing the GO Cellular Kit with a new Tigo EI Residential Solution, follow the commissioning steps in the EI Inverter Quick Start Guide until you reach Step 3 below.
