The longer string functionality, or Smart Curve, is unique to Smart Modules, where the optimizer is embedded into the PV module's junction box.
Both Smart Modules and add-on optimizers offer optimization, safety, and module-level monitoring capabilities.
Design tip: When calculating string size, always refer to your module data sheet.
Smart Modules will already have the adjusted value for maximum output voltage listed.
TS4 Platform
For TS4-equipped modules, the features are determined by the type of cover. The features are incremental, so each cover contains all of the features of the models below it.
