With Tigo EI Mobile App version 5.4.7 and superior, installers have more options for remotely managing Tigo inverter and energy storage solutions in Europe.
Tigo has released updates to the Energy Intelligence (EI) Platform, adding new remote system settings across the EI Portal and EI Mobile App.
The release introduces the ability to remotely configure AC Power Export Limitation and grid codes.
These capabilities help installers in responding to changing system requirements, resolve configuration issues, and manage system operations without needing to visit the site.
Remote AC Power export limit controls
The update also adds the ability to remotely configure AC Power exports rates and limits.
Installers can use these settings to control how much energy a system exports to the grid. This can help align system operation with applicable utility export requirements or homeowner energy-management preferences.
Export permissions and requirements vary by utility and region.
Below the sequence to manage the remote AC Power export limit configuration:
- Open the Tigo EI app.
- Select the system from the list of systems.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Edit System.
- Click on Select Equipment.
- Click on View Details.
- Click on Remote Settings.
- Click on AC Meter.
- Select the desired value.
- Click on Save.
- Wait.
- Confirmation that the new configuration has been successfully saved.
Remote Grid Code setting
Installers can now remotely change a system’s utility or regional grid code through the EI Platform.
Grid codes define how an inverter must interact with the local electrical grid. The new remote setting makes it easier to align system configuration with applicable utility and regional requirements or correct an improperly selected grid code.
For Grid Code setting, same steps as above till Remote Settings (step 7):
- Click on Grid Code.
- Click on the desired Grid Code.
- Click on Save.
- Confirmation of the new Grid Code has been successfully saved
