⚠️ IMPORTANT:
ALL TS4-X & TS4-A (725W) UNITS SHIP IN THE ON STATE.
Full Voc is present on the homeruns and the TS4s by default from the factory.
What You Will See in the Field
- Full Voc at first connection: TS4-X or TS4-A (725W) units will present normal open-circuit voltage as soon as they are connected to a string.
- Once the TS4-F units detect the PLC signal from the RSS Transmitter, they will then react normally to a loss of PLC and switch to rapid shutdown mode.
- Rapid shutdown depends on all initiators: the array can remain active if any valid rapid shutdown signal remains present. This is the result of the Multi-Factor Rapid Shutdown feature and applies to all TS4s mentioned in this article.
Installation Required Safety Practices

TS4-A-O/S/F Quick Start Guide: |
- Assume voltage is present when TS4-X or TS4-A (725W) are connected.
- Verify absence of voltage with properly rated test equipment.
- Ensure every rapid shutdown initiator is OFF, including CCA and any RSS transmitter (Tigo or third-party) before installation or servicing.
- Isolate circuits using disconnects, breakers, or combiners before service.
- Train all crew members that TS4 ON by default does not mean the array is OFF.
