Can the GO EV Charger be used as a standalone?
A: Tigo does not sell GO EV chargers separately from the EI or GO products because the charger is part of a complete residential solar solution and can only be used with Tigo EI or GO inverters and solutions.
Does GO EV Charger work with single-phase and three-phase systems?
A: Yes. GO EV Charger comes in two models for use within the EU (220-240 volts):
- TGC-7.2K1D - Single-phase with charging power of 7.2kW.
-
TGC-22K3D - Three-phase with a charging power of 22kW.
Works with phase systems and has an optional SW limit to 11kW.
(if regulation requires)
Is the GO EV Charger bi-directional?
A: No.
In a bidirectional (two-way) system, the EV charger would allow electricity to flow in either direction: from grid to EV or EV to grid (or home). Tigo's GO EV Charger is a unidirectional (one-way) charger, which means electricity flows in one direction (only) from the electric grid into the electric vehicle.
Is the GO EV Charger an AC or DC charger?
A: GO EV Charger is an AC charger, which means it outputs AC power. The AC/DC conversion happens inside the onboard charger (inside the electric vehicle).
In which countries can the GO EV Charger be used?
A: GO EV Charger can be used for all European countries and other countries with 50Hz, 230V/400V grids. There is a separate SKU for the UK.
What plug type does the GO EV Charger have?
A: GO EV Charger has a type 2 plug (suitable for all European electric vehicles).
Can I operate the GO EV Charger without my phone (the app)?
A: Yes. If all the current selections for boost mode have been preset, you can select different modes with the mode selector on the side of the GO EV Charger. (It switches between green and boost modes). Pressing and holding this button for 3 seconds will stop charging. Then you can unplug the nozzle.
