I use Tigo F's for rapid shutdown compliance

California is still on the 2017 Code cycle and I needed an RSD solution for my SMA Sunny Boy 5.0-TL-41 and the 16 Jinko 320 modules installed in November of 2020. I did buy some Shoals verified whips to connect the Tigo MLPE to the Jinko module since I was not completely sure the connectors were compatible.

The Tigo's were directly connected to each module frame. Once the system was ready to commission, the only thing we had to do was set the Rapid Shutdown parameter in the SMA inverter to "SunSpec" so that the Tigo's would close their connection to the modules and allow voltage and current to pass down to the inverter. Pretty easy setup and it works like a champ.
