Bar graph vs line graph

The graph in the monitoring application recently changed from the bar graph to a line graph. I really like the bar graph better. Is there some kind of configurations setting that I can use to switch between the two?

  Hello Greg,

  As of now, you can see those charts on our EI portal under "Basic charts". 

  In the app, we are aware of this change and it is in our roadmap to bring it back.

  I mostly use the app on my phone to monitor things. It used to automatically switch to a line graph when you selected minutes, and that was fine at that level, but then it would switch back to a bar chart at the higher time increments.
  It would be great if you had a button switch option in the app, in the same way that you do in the web portal.
  In my opinion, the end-user experience really took a hit with this line graph change, and I would change it back to the old behavior until you can provide a way for the user to control it.

  I hear you, Greg. And I must say it is weird talking to myself :D

  We made the change after several requests for a line graph display. I guess it's all about personal preference, however, I do agree that having the choice to view the graph you are most comfortable with should be an option. Although you have this option on the EI Portal, we are going to bring it back to the app.

  Getting constructive feedback from our Community is how we make things better. Thanks for chiming in, Greg!

  Thanks for the feedback. We had an issue with the graphs and had to make a quick change. There's an update coming that will have the bar graphs and then another section where you can select whatever graph you want. 

  Here are some screen shots of what is coming.

   

  

   

  

   

  This update will be out in the next 24-48 hours so update when you see it.

  I just downloaded the update and I think all of you did a very good job! It is very easy to switch back-and-forth between the line graph and the bar graph, and the use of the screen real estate is much better in this newer version. Fine work!
