Does the monitoring portal show when modules are shut down?

The CCA has an auxiliary input that can be used to manually trigger a rapid shutdown. Does the monitoring portal indicate when that is enabled? Will the panels all report zero watts when shut down?

  When rapid shutdown is triggered, all the panels on monitoring portal will report zero power production and an alert will be generated, this could be used to tell whether rapid shutdown is enabled or not.

  Hi Adolf, alerts like this may not come immediately.  There may be a delay of 15 minutes to a few hours depending on what is happening on the system.

  I have tested with my system. The portal does report 0 watts for all units, and I got a text message alert within a minute or two of activation. As Gary says, that's not guaranteed though.

  One other thing -- events lasting less than 10-15 minutes may not trigger an alert.  This is something to keep in mind, particularly if you want to test the system.  It is best to perform rapid shutdown and leave the system off for 30 minutes to be sure the alert is generated.
