TAP installation - Can it be installed inside the loft under the panels?

On one install video, it said the TAP goes under one of the panels on the roof. However, as it is a wireless device, could I instead simply install it under the panels, inside my loft area, so that the cloud connect can be wired next to it?

  For best results, Tigo recommends following the installation manual criteria. We cannot guarantee string signal strength if the TAP is installed under the roof.
