Discrepancies in Production Monitoring between Different Suppliers

After 90 days, Tigo reports my system has produced 1.430 MWh. My SMA Inverter reports only 1.3971 . Why the difference??

  Hi Robert, that is an excellent question! The difference in values comes down to where and what the two systems monitor.
  
  The Tigo system reports DC production from the modules, and the SMA inverter reports AC output production. The DC production will typically be higher since the energy suffers losses during its conversion inside the PV inverter.

  Some quick math reveals that the difference between the two production values is 97.69%. The SMA 5kW TL inverter has a max efficiency of 97.6% and a CEC efficiency of 97%. Your difference in production falls close to the inverter's efficiency.
