    Dear Maher,

Thank you for contributing to the Tigo community!

The color of the optimizer in our EI portal can have several meanings; as a rule of thumb, the lighter the color higher is the production on your PV module. We have an article providing an extensive description of the different colors: PV-Module Colors - What do they mean?

A black-colored panel can indicate low incident irradiance on the PV panel, a potential wiring issue, or no load coming from the inverter. It would be helpful to analyze the past data from the EI portal: has this issue always occurred from the first day of installation? Can you find a specific moment in the past when this behavior started to occur?

One of our support agents can help you find out the issue related to your system; for this reason, I have opened a ticket for you.

I had one panel that turned gray, said “no data”. Was like this for 24 hours. The next morning, it rose up and turned on and was singing with the choir. All good, had a great day of production. Idk why it had died for 24 hours.

Hello Inam Maher, Jiri Novy and Louise Bentley,

Thank you all for contributing to the Tigo Community.

A black or dark Module indicates low (or no) production. Since the color is based upon watts being created, this could come from a Module that is either heavily shaded (full black-out), or from a module that is experiencing a wiring error.

Grey Modules are an indication that there is a lack of communication. This can happen if the unit is experiencing interference, or there is some other issue like Distance from TAP signal, etc.

In both of these cases, I strongly suggest contacting our Support Team for assistance. They will take the time to fully review your system and find a solution for you.

In the meantime, please take a moment to review this article on PV-Module Colors - What do they mean?
