A new System Owner will find a myriad of powerful tools available in their Energy Intelligence (EI) Monitoring Portal (and EI App). This article provides a tour of how to access and effectively use the tools within the EI portal/app to monitor/view your system performance.
Access System Owner Account
Once the installer completes the commissioning process for a system, they grant the homeowner access. The System Owner must verify the account via email Invitation (Installer instructions at: Add a System Owner). After the account has been verified, the System Owner can sign in to the Energy Intelligence (EI) monitoring platform from any mobile device or desktop computer:
Mobile Device: (Smartphone or tablet)
1. Install Tigo Energy Intelligence (EI) App on your mobile device.
2. Sign in to the account with the verified email and password combination
Desktop Computer:
1. Go to http://ei.tigoenergy.com in any web browser.
2. Enter your verified Username or email and Password.
The sign-in page will lead to the Overview Page for your new system.
For more information on how the Monitoring Portal works:
Navigation Column
The Navigation Column (left side of the page) is the most important aspect of the Tigo Portal. This list of links will lead to different pages where you can view your system's performance and output.
Click on any of the links (below) to jump to that section of the article.
Overview
The system's Overview page (View > Overview) is the system's basic dashboard or landing page. The page is divided by:
- Navigation Column (left)
- Center panel (middle)
-
Metrics panel (right)
The Center panel displays information about the system's production. This is where you can verify that your system is online and functioning as expected.
Power Flow:
- The arrows animate when displaying production.
- The color of the inverter and signal waves confirm the communication status.
Icon |
Status Indication |
|
A Solid Green Inverter icon indicates that the Inverter for the system is not a Tigo Brand EI Residential Solution Inverter. |
|
A Solid White Inverter icon indicates that the Inverter for the system is a Tigo EI Residential Solution Inverter. |
Signal Waves |
Green = System is Online Yellow = System has not checked in (under 24 hours) Red = System has not checked in (over 24 hours)

Solar Production:
- Below the Power Flow diagram is the Solar Production chart. This displays an overview of the day's solar production.
The Metrics Panel (right side) displays local weather information and other unique data points regarding the system production.
System View
The System View page (View > System View) displays the PV Module map of the system, with a date and time reference at the bottom (center) of the layout.
For information on the module icons, and their color indications, see:
PV-Module Colors - What do they mean?
Menu Sections
On the right side is a menu offering various views with unique data about the system's production (at the module level). If the right menu is collapsed, click the Chevron button (top right) to expand the menu.

Basic Charts
The Basic Charts page (View > Basic Charts) shows the Total Energy, System Energy Base, or System Energy Reclaimed in minute, hour, day, month, and year (top bar). This data will be divided into categories on the Production panel (right). This section offers the data in any ensemble (assigned by CCA, Inverter, strings, or single module). Click on any unit or category to see the production represented for that portion of the system.
The Basic Charts can be expressed in 2 different types of Graphs:
Bar Graph | Line Graph |
Each shows the total production for the system, divided by:
Green - Represents the Reclaimed Power portion of the total yield. | |
Grey - Represents the Power yield minus the Reclaimed Power (from using Tigo's optimization) |
The Basic Charts are available to any user, as it is part of the free Tigo Solution. If you want additional data granularity, check out our Premium Subscription.
Alerts
On the Alerts page (View > Alerts), you can review any notifications that the system may have issued during the lifetime of the system.
If your system is experiencing issues, but you have not received any Alerts, it may be due to the Alerts Settings.
To access Alert Settings:
- Click the 3-Dot
button (upper right corner)
- Select Edit Alerts
- Click the desired Alert under the Subscribe column
- Select whether they would like to receive it via Email or SMS (text).
- Then, select Reports (upper left) to do the same:
Note: Automated alerts (email or SMS) that include all safety-related notifications (i.e., PV-safe activation, system shutdown, and over-voltage) are included in Tigo's Free Subscription. However, the line items that show Stars next to them, are only available to Premium Subscribers.
Info
The Info page (View > Info) is a basic system summary. The address information and list of primary components will appear, along with a picture of the System (if the user has uploaded it):
