The video below walks you through creating and editing a Tigo EI Residential Solution (inverter and battery) system using the Tigo Energy Intelligence (EI) App.
Create EI Residential System
- Sign in to your Tigo EI App
- Press the +sign (top right) to add a new system
App checks the status of Bluetooth and Location Permissions
(If set correctly, you will see a confirmation page) - Choose NEXT Button (bottom)
- Enter the System Name and select the Planned Turn On Date
Select NEXT button (bottom) - Press CONFIRM (if not correct, choose CANCEL and enter the address manually)
Select CREATE-> button (bottom) to proceed to EI System page -
Press Select Equipment
- Press the Green Button (lower left corner)
Select Scan - App scans for local devices
- Scan results show all local Tigo devices
Some systems have more than one Tigo Inverter or serialized device
If the Serial does not match, swipe to the left until you find the correct one
Press ADD to add the inverter to the system
Choose Network for EI Storage System
You are now at the EI Setup screen. This screen shows the individual parts of the EI system that you can enter into the App. Some components are automatically detected, while others must be manually entered.
- Press Internet Settings to view WiFi networks
(drag down to refresh the WiFi network list if it's empty) - App will scan for local networks
- Press on the correct WiFi Network name to select
- Enter Network password
Press CONNECT - App attempts to connect to the network
- App connects to network
Press DONE to return to the EI Setup page
- A green check mark should appear next to Online (under Internet Settings)
Configure EI Storage Components
- Press Inverter Settings to configure the Inverter's Status
- Press Grid Code and select the appropriate country setting
- Press Advanced Options to open the settings for each component
Press AC Meter to configure the consumption meters
- Configure the consumption meters by selecting toggle-switches
Back Arrow (top left) when complete - Press Battery Settings
Use sliders to set maximum charging and discharging current
Back Arrow (top left) when complete - Press Main Breaker Limit to set the amount of current system will draw from the utility.

- Press SAVE
Press DONE to return to EI Setup - A green checkmark appears next to Inverter to confirm the completion
- Press Batteries & Meters
Select SCAN BAR CODE FOR WARRANTY
Use a smartphone camera to scan each component’s bar code (side of the unit or outside of the box)
Press DONE to proceed to EI Setup menu
- Green checkmarks appear next to all Battery & Meters line items
Press PV Modules to set up PV array and TS4 devices - Press Name to name the EI Inverter (or leave it as serial number)
Tigo should be pre-selected, under Manufacturer
(if not, press Manufacturer and choose from the list) - Choose Model to select which EI Inverter Type you are setting up
Press on the correct EI Inverter Type
- Press MPPTs to select the number of MPPT trackers in the inverter
Press ADD STRING button to proceed to Add String menu - Press Manufacturer to select PV Module Manufacturer from the list
- Scroll down and select the correct PV Module Manufacturer
(If the correct PV Manufacturer is not listed, press the + (top right) to manually add it)
- Press Model to select the PV Module Type (or model number)
- Scroll down and select the correct Model
(If the correct Model is not listed, press the + (top right) to add it manually) - Press PV Modules count to add how many PV Modules are on the system.
- Scroll down and select how many PV Modules are on the system
- Press SAVE (bottom) to return to the Edit Inverter page

Edit Inverter page now displays string addition(s)
Press EDIT button(s) if you need to associate those strings with specific MPPTs.
Press DONE (bottom) when complete (proceeds to System Equipment page)
- Confirm Inverters, Strings, MPPTs, and PV Modules entries are correct.
When complete, press Back Arrow (top left corner) - Confirm EI Setup list is complete (green checkmarks appear on all line items)
Press DONE (bottom)
