Hi Jani, typically, the inverter has built-in AFCI protection and an external device is unnecessary. What external equipment do you want to install? Where would it go in the system?

    Hi Greg.

    Thank you for replay.
I'm not sure if my inverter (Goodwe 10kW ET+ series) have afci integrated. It's not obvious from datasheet, not mentioned on list.

Anyway I'm looking to improve safety of my setup with external afci device. For now I just find Fonrich manufacturer, as external device but on another forum I talk with a guy who try this Fonrich with Tigo optimizers already and he get false trigers when tigos was under panels. As soon as he remove tigo optimizers and connect only panels, Fonrich start working normally. As I know he already also discuss with your support and try figure out a solution, but I don't know what was result. So before I purchase and install anything I want to clarify if this will even work or not.

Location of afci CT's will be somewhere near to inverter  on string pv wires between fuses and inverter input.

That inverter model does have arc fault detection. The user manual talks about the AFCI error codes on page 9.

I appreciate the sentiment for extra protection, but we cannot guarantee the proper operation of our product with redundant third-party devices. I tried to find that support case you are referencing but without a case number, I was not able to see our progress.
