    Thank you very much for your inquiry and contribution! Please check the colored label behind your optimizer that identifies and classifies the product you own. You will find the capacity values either than the model part number and description. Then please compare those specifications with the Tigo Legacy MLPE documentation that we have left available in our Tigo Home Page under Downloads & Documentation | Tigo Energy

    On the question about the possibility to install a 375W optimizer on a 420wp PV-Module, I suggest you download your Panel Data Sheet and the Optimizer Data Sheet, then make a simple comparison between the Current (Isc and ImP) values and Voltage Maximum value to make sure the optimizer you are planning to install is compatible with the PV-Module.

    Always bear in mind that PV manufacturers use Standard Test Conditions, or STC, to rate their PV products.

    STC are 1,000 Watts per square meter solar irradiance, 25 degrees C cell temperature, air mass equal to 1.5, and ASTM G173-03 standard spectrum.

    Therefore, the PV modules have environmental dependent characteristics.... it is possible to observe some deviations from the ratings that are stated in their datasheet in case these exact conditions aren't met. Although we state voltage, current, and power specifications in our datasheets, the environmental deviations should be calculated into the design...this to account for things like edge of cloud effect and other environmental conditions that may cause an increase in the electrical characteristics of the module. Cloud edge effect is just an example which is a common phenomenon in PV power generation.

    STC Werte sind, wie der Name schon sagt, Messdaten unter Standard-Testbedingungen,  um die Module verschiedenster Hersteller vergleich können.

    Isc ist m.E. nicht aussagekräftig, da dieser Wert nun bei einem Kurzschließen des PV-Moduls auftritt, was aber im Betrieb eigentlich nie vorkommt.

    Der maßgebliche Wert ist wie oben angeführt Imp.

    Sie haben Recht, wenn Sie sagen, dass der Imp der Wert ist, der die meiste Aufmerksamkeit erfordert. Der Strom spielt definitiv eine starke Rolle, wenn ein System überdimensioniert wurde (oder Werte aufweist, die über den Fähigkeiten des Produkts liegen).

    Wenn sich der Konstrukteur jedoch an die im Datenblatt des Produkts angegebenen Werte hält, wird er ein kompetentes System liefern, das auch innerhalb der Garantierichtlinien des Herstellers bleibt.

    You are correct in stating that the Imp is the value that requires the most attention. Current definitely plays a strong role when a system has been over-designed (or has values above the product's capabilities). 

    With that being said, if the designer follows the values stated on the data sheet for the product, they will deliver a competent system that will also remain within the manufacturer's warranty guidelines.
